Statement page from Albert Dames, Coronado, Newfoundland, dated 17 AUG 1944, recorded by members of the Intelligence Office at Harbor Field. The witness describes observing an unidentified flying object on the night preceding the statement date. Dames reports the object appeared to be flying at a terrific speed, was very bright and illuminated differently from conventional aircraft, and exhibited characteristics that distinguished it from normal airplane navigation lights. Three signatures appear: the typed name Albert Dames with an accompanying handwritten signature, and two witness signatures below. Classification marking 'RESTRICTED' appears in header and as watermark at foot.
